Welcome to the North Carolina Association for Healthcare Access!

The North Carolina Association for Healthcare Access (NCAHA), created in 2007, is a a non-profit organization committed to supporting the networks of physicians, hospitals and other healthcare providers to expand access to healthcare for the low-income medically uninsured of North Carolina.

Thanks to everyone who participated NCAHA 2nd Annual Conference! Over 50 communities in North and South Carolina participated in the two day conference.

Working Outward from the Center featured programs from across the state, showcasing and presenting:

  • Building a program in a rural community
  • Identifying leaders in a community
  • Recruiting physicians
  • Funding an access initiative
  • Creating an outcome based program
  • Developing a patient-centered program
  • Filling the gaps in medications assistance programs

Our Vision

Our vision is for all North Carolina residents have access to appropriate health care.

Our values include

NCAHA strives to

  • create and sustain a strong, dynamic, effective state association,
  • be recognized as the expert on and primary resource for health care access programs in North Carolina,
  • encourage development and sustainability of local health care access programs, and
  • advocate for access to healthcare for low-income medically uninsured population.
