2008 NCAHA Conference

Working Outward from the Center NCAHA’s 2nd Annual Conference was held May 15 & 16, 2008 at the Harris Conference Center in Charlotte. We are very thankful to all who attended, supported, and volunteered for our conference. We hope that it was an enjoyable and meaningful experience for all who participated and that participants were able to bring some of their new knowledge and energy back to their communities.

This year, NCAHA brought the focus of coordinated care down to the patient. We explored how patients experience access networks and what brought them to the access network programs, featuring patient speaker Dierdra Girardeau.

The Duke Endowment also presented on future funding initiatives. There is a new trend to bring not just coordinated care to the uninsured, but coordinated funding to healthcare programs serving the uninsured. The Duke Endowment is taking the lead to bring federal, state, and local funders together to provide a coordinated funding system for programs.

Our third featured speaker, John La Rocca from the Rensselaerville Institute, brought us new perspectives on achieving outcomes in healthcare programs in “The Outcomes are Coming! The Outcomes are Coming!”

NCAHA’s conference also included breakout sessions to help communities build and develop their programs. Check below for a complete listing of events.

We will soon be providing recordings, pictures, PPT presentations and handouts from our conference here on our website. Please check back regularly for updates.

If you have any questions, comments, concerns regarding the conference, we would love your feedback, so please contact us
