Linda Kinney, Executive Director

Linda Kinney is the Executive Director of the North Carolina Association for Healthcare Access. Ms. Kinney served as the Director of Health Access at the Buncombe County Medical Society Foundation (BCMS) from 2004 to 2007. Previous to her work at BCMS, she was the Director of Fund Development for the Girls Scouts of Western North Carolina Pisgah Council, Administrative Coordinator for the Mountain Area Health Education Center, and Director of the Farm Worker Health Project, in south Texas. Linda has also served as President of Blue Ridge Toastmasters in Asheville and on the board of Asheville Buncombe Institute of Parity Achievement. Ms. Kinney received her B.S. in Psychology from University of Wisconsin at Madison and her Masters of Health Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Alana Pierce, Program Coordinator

Alana has a BA in Anthropology from Beloit College and a background in nonprofit work. Alana moved to Asheville from the Chicago area in appreciation of the great Asheville landscape and for the amazing sense of community that Asheville offers. Over the past six years, she has been a dedicated volunteer to a variety of organizations in Asheville, including Asheville City Schools Foundation, 10,000 Villages, the Literacy Council, and the Mediation Center. Health and access to health care are important and personal issues for Alana, and she is excited to join NCAHA in helping communities provide health care services.
